Employee Engagement… what does that really mean?
We throw this buzz term around and we talk about all of these expensive programs we’ve purchased to assist us in building employee morale and engagement… but do they really work?
Shouldn’t we go back to the basics, those things that were done back before all of these nifty programs were available?
When was the last time you stopped to talk to an employee and asked about his/her family? Maybe even called the spouse or child(ren) by name?
This is what is really important to our employees. Building a connection where they feel the bond between the company and them. This is how we make them feel important.
